Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has been honored with numerous international and national awards. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the world regarding policies and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She acts as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
